Momiji Oroshi

This sauce adds a nice kick to Shabu-Shabu. Use it as you would wasabi in sushi restaurants.

Ingredients

3-ounce piece daikon, cut a into small pieces
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon paprika

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Pureé daikon in blender with 2 tablespoons water. Strain the mixture and drain 5 minutes. Transfer daikon to small bowl.

    Whisk in cayenne and paprika.
