Ingredients

4 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons superfine sugar
6 ounces crushed ice
8 ounces chilled claret or other dry red wine
Slice lemon

Preparation

  1. Combine lemon juice and sugar in a tall collins glass and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add ice, pour in claret, and garnish with lemon slice. Serve with a straw.
