Ingredients
3/4 ounce Scotch whisky
3/4 ounce dry vermouth
3/4 ounce sweet vermouth
2 dashes Angostura bitters (or orange bitters)
3 or 4 ice cubes
Twist lemon peel
Maraschino cherry
Preparation
Combine all ingredients except the peel and cherry in a mixing glass and stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the peel and cherry. This drink is sometimes made with orange bitters instead of Angostura bitters, and the peel and cherry are omitted.
